Standing side by side, in sync with our Post Veterans we will succeed, "Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty to Help Our Veterans". Four key components of the VFW core programs are contained in this program. We need to work in conjunction with the VFW supporting these programs with the full weight of our Auxiliaries behind them 100%. If we are divided, the programs lose; which means our Veterans lose. STATE WIDE PROJECTS

1.Texas VFW Foundation; Donate, All funds earmarked & mailed to Ladies Aux, P.O. Box 15285, Austin, TX 78761, STAY in TEXAS for TEXAS VETERANS.

2. Coupon Program: Clip/Save/Send for our troops & families overseas.

NATIONAL MILITARY SERVICES

1. Military Assistance Program (MAP) - provides assistance financially for Military Service Personnel returning home or on active duty.

2. Unmet Needs - provides financial support to the families of active duty Armed Forces. To obtain application and information on eligibility for allowed expenses refer to web site, www.vfwdepartmentresources.org or www.unmetneeds.org. Designate donations on your check, "National Military Services" and send to Ladies Aux., Dept of TX

3. Operation Uplink - Providing calling cards, free call days and Internet cafes. Donations should be designated on your check: “National Military Services."

VFW NATIONAL HOME FOR CHILDREN

Relies completely on our donations. Is that personal enough? They are NOT on the Government dole. The primary purpose of the National Home is to care for the children and spouses of veterans. The VFW Home is located in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Each Auxiliary is requested to send ten cents ($.10) per member participating in the Health & Happiness Fund for October. Increase your donations to Twenty-Five Cents ($.25) per member for a citation from National. Also Save Campbell's Bar Code labels for education and Tyson project A+ Bar codes.

GOAL: A new National Home Life Member per Auxiliary and VFW Post. The cost is $35.00 For information about programs and ways to help go to www.vfwnationalhome.org. BUDDY Poppy - "Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty to Help Our Veterans" Is there a better way to show our support consistently, than by wearing a Buddy Poppy to any & every event we attend in our community? Conduct a Buddy Poppy Drive to “Honor the Dead By Helping the Living”. All funds raised thru Buddy Poppy donations MUST go into your RELIEF FUND. Use this Relief Fund to help veterans & their families, purchase memberships for elderly widows. The Buddy Poppy represents bloodshed by American Service Veterans and reminds us of their sacrifices on the field of combat. Enter the Buddy Poppy VFW, Ladies Aux, Jr. Girls, Men's Aux. or Motorcycle Group emblem Contest.   Make yours to WIN!!

AWARDS

In addition to the Department awards be sure and study the National program for additional awards.

1. Plaque to the Auxiliary in each Membership Division with the BEST Overall Reporting, including at least three (3) elements of the program. Certificate for Runner-up.

 2. Plaque to the Auxiliary with the BEST fund raiser for the National Military Services. Certificate for Runner-up.

3. Plaque to the Auxiliary with the BEST Overall Buddy Poppy Program. Certificate for Runner-up.

4. Chairman's award to the Auxiliary in each division that has the BEST  Overall Reporting of National Home program. It must include both New life Membership and label Program. Certificate for Runner-up.
