“Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty to Help Our Veterans"

Important: All transmittals must be in Department by the 31st of the month, with the exception of December and that date will be the 15th  for the “Jamboree” arrangements and the May 15th date for year end awards.  All judging will be from July 1, 2011 through May 15, 2012. Verification will be through the Department Treasurer.

MEMBERSHIP AWARDS

1. Each member securing 7 new or reinstated members from July 1, 2011 through December 15, 2011 will qualify for a $50.00 drawing to be held at the Mid-Winter Convention.

2. Each member securing 20 new or reinstated members from July 1, 2011 through May 31, 2012 will receive a citation and be entered into a drawing for $50.00 at the Department Convention. She will also receive special recognition from National Headquarters as Aide de Camp during National Convention 2012.

 AUXILIARY AWARDS

1. The established Auxiliary in each Membership Division securing the largest number of new or reinstated members from July 1, 2011 through May 15, 2012 will receive a plaque and will be entered into a drawing for $100.00 at the Department Convention. (In case of a tie, a drawing will be held to determine a winner)  

2. Each new Auxiliary instituted after July 1, 2011 making a gain in Membership (over initial 15 required for charter) will be entered into a drawing for $50.00 at the Department Convention.

3. Each Auxiliary in each Membership Division reaching 60% of their membership quota by August 31, 2011 will be entered into a drawing for $25.00 Drawing to be held at the Mid-Winter Convention.

4. Each Auxiliary in each Membership Division reaching 75% of their membership quota by September 30, 2011 will be entered into a drawing for $25.00 Drawing held at the Mid-Winter Convention.

5. Each Auxiliary in each Membership Division 85% of their. Membership quota by October 31, 2011 Will be entered Into a drawing for $25.00 Drawing to be held at the Mid-Winter Convention.

6. Each Auxiliary in each Membership Division reaching 90% of their membership quota by November 30, 2011 will be entered into a drawing for $25. Drawing to be held at the Mid-Winter Convention.

7. Each Auxiliary in each Membership Division to reach 100% of their membership quota by December 15, 2011 will be entered into a drawing for $100 and will receive the "Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty to Help Our Veterans" plaque at the Mid-Winter Convention.

8. Each Auxiliary in each Membership Division surpassing 100% of their membership by December 15, 2011 will also be entered into a drawing for $100.00 at the Mid- Winter Convention.

9. Each Auxiliary to reach 100% of their membership quota between January 1, 2012 and May 15, 2012 will be entered into a drawing for $100 and will receive the "Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty to Help Our Veterans" plaque at the Department Convention.

10.The Auxiliary in each Membership Division with the highest percent in Membership on May 15, 2012 will be entered into a drawing for $50.00 at the Department Convention.

Each Auxiliary reaching every deadline for Awards 3 through 7 will be entered into a drawing for $100 at the Department Convention.

DISTRICT PRESIDENT'S AWARDS

1. The District President in each Membership Division to reach 75% of their membership quota by September 30, 2011 will be entered into a drawing for $50.00 at the Mid-Winter Convention.

2. The District President in each Membership Division to reach 85% of their membership quota by October 31, 2011 will be entered into a drawing for $50.00 at the Mid-Winter Convention.

3. The District President in each Membership Division to reach 90% of their membership quota by December 15, 2011 will be entered into a drawing for $50.00 at the Mid-Winter Convention.

4. Each District President to achieve 90% of her membership quota by December 15, 2011 will be treated to an invitation only "Jamboree" with President Helton at the Mid- Winter Convention.

5.The District with the highest percentage of their membership quota by May 15, 2012 will receive $200.00 at the Department Convention.

VFW  AWARDS

1. Each VFW Member who recruits 5 new or reinstated members for the Ladies Auxiliary from July 1, 2011 through May 15, 2012 will receive an award at the Department Convention.

2. The VFW Member who recruits the most new or reinstated members for the Ladies Auxiliary from July 1, 2011 through May 15, 2012 will receive a cash award of $50.00 at the Department Convention. In case of a tie, a drawing will be held to determine the winner.

3. Each District Commander who recruits 1 new or reinstated member for the Ladies Auxiliary from July 1, 2011 through May 15, 2012 will receive a personal gift from President Helton.

STATEWIDE PROJECT

The Auxiliary in each Membership Division with the largest number of new or reinstated members recruited in the month of November will receive an award at the Mid-Winter Convention. Transmittals must be received by December 15, 2011.  

NATIONAL AWARDS

Please review all awards in the National Program book as completing those awards coincides with completion of the Department programs and awards.
