“Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty to Help Our Veteran”

As Historians, it is your duty to keep a record of all memories and history of our great organization and of our President’s travels during the year. These events, whether written or pictorial, should be kept in chronological order.

Our Department President will be visiting each District sharing the aims and goals for Texas and the Ladies Auxiliary. Your job will be to send me a detailed written report within fifteen (15) days following her visit to your District. Time will be considered in qualifying for awards. The report should begin with the arrival of the Department President and include all events she attends. I also would like any pictures you take of our President during the year, her installation, Homecoming, official visits, Mid-Winter, Southern Conference, National events and State Convention… etc. I need you to be my picture taker when I’m unable to attend.

You need to include:

·         The names(s)

·         Title

·         Auxiliary number

·         District number

·         Telephone number for the person sending the information

Number each photograph on the reverse in the upper right corner. Do not write on the photograph. On a separate sheet of paper identify photographs according to the number and write date, place and identify people from left to right as you look at the photo. Send sharp clear photos. You may send newspaper articles, especially those with pictures. Do not staple or paste the article to a separate sheet of paper, but do include the name and date of the newspaper.

Remember you are not just preparing a record of the year’s President by continuing to provide historical information for all current and future members.
